I did a nest check today and found a runt with 2 red spots. Are they peck marks? 5 eggs hatched on June 25. Everything seems normal in the nest.

Another way to dispose of sparows is to use a can of ether, AKA engine starting fluid. I purchased a can at Princess Auto and was relatively inexpensive. If you can get the sparrow into a plastic bag, spray a few shots of ether into the bag. Its all over within a few minutes. Sparrow goes to sleep a...
