Michelle, The photos are excellent! We have a roost here in NC and I have yet to get shots that good. When you find the roost, don't worry one bit about spooking them. The corn won't be picked until the third week of August or so. By then, the beans that were planted after picking the wheat will be tall enough to support the roost. But, won't the PMs be gone by then anyway?

The martins are back at the NC903 area. The flock appears to be even bigger than before. What time should I get up to see them disperse in the morning? Thanks.

Update on the staging area here in Lenoir County, NC. The martins were there again the next day but none since. They may have been gathering before I discovered them, I don't know. I went back that second afternoon to follow them but they never went anywhere that I could see. They left the power lin...
