I have more martins here then ever before this early in the year, Here is a few pictures I took this evening

This makes 2.5 days that my 11 martins have did without food, I have tried feeding them and they wont even look at the food flying by, they have no interest in it. It i snowing here today and the temp is suppose to be 45 and sunny tomorrow, maybe they will find something on their own

I had a ASY male show up yesterday and he didnt have any tail feathers.
My question is, will they grow back before he departs in the fall

I have had them make it through a week of high 30's and low 40's before. But the sun was shining bright with little or no wind, but they left eveyday for several hours. Can martins feed on a 54 degree cloudy day with 13 mph winds? I tried feeding them Monday and they wouldnt go after anything. They looked pretty miserable yesterday, but would chase anything, so just wondering if they might be finding food somewhere. They are only leaving for about 2 hours a day Chris

If we dont get some warm weather soon, I will just have dead martins. I have 5 back here in indiana and the just wont break.

I have 5 in already, which is way early, the 4th ASY male arrived yesterday and I sure cant see that, it was cold and breezy here yesterday and about 35 degrees
