Try quarryfarmgourds.com/ and get "Martin house Giant" I start mine in peat pots in Maryland and they did great.

Thanks for the encouragement. The gourds are a bit far from the house but it is the most open area because we have many small trees near the house but the pasture and chicken house are nearby and are always busy with activity.
