After not having any martins last year I put up different gourds. Using Bo nine clingers, 6. They attracted several pairs and some singles too. However, come middle of July it got real hot and the birds disappeared. After about a week with no birds I took the houses down to inspect. Now I did forget...

Does anyone put bedding in houses before PM's arrive? Or, do you let them gather their own?
