Martin Colony History: Colony started in 2009 with 2 pair.
Currently I have 3 gourd racks with 24 gourds. One gourd rack will be for sy arrivals only.
Bo Eleven gourds 20

Well, I have 2 sy males that showed up this morning and are causing grief. I thought the martin behavior was a little different than usual, so I got out the binoculars. I have a lone asy male trying to keep them away from the occupied nests, but he has his hands full. Don't know if they plan on staying or not. Seems kind of late, but I guess you never know.

Hi Trish; The same thing is happening to me since about Thursday this past week, I had as many as 5 birds show up and they are making a lot of noise!

My pair has had visitors coming in for a few weeks now. They do make some racket at times. It seems that the babies may account for the attraction. Perhaps they are trying to get them to come out and fly.
