First official nest check 2011 so far so good in S.E. Ohio
Last year I had 1 pair of birds that fledged 4 babies, my first year as a landlord. This yeas I have: 16 S&K Big Bo plastic gourds with 5 nests and 18 eggs. I have 16 natural gourds with 9 nests and 6 babies and 31 eggs. 1 S&K 12 room plastic house with 1 nest 4 eggs and 4 natural gourds under this house which have 2 nests and 7 eggs. That is a total of 60 eggs and 6 babies and I sure am happy with the increase over last year!! 2 birds in 2010 and at least 34 birds in 2011 plus some xtra birds from time to time. Thanks Lord.

Thanks again for allowing me to come and visit you and your Mother and all your Martins. It was great. I just love to see the birds, even though they are not mine. I had lots of visitors this year, but none stayed for long.
I know it is just a matter of time. I even had a visitor come by yesterday.
