success with lowered height on house
I put up a circular Heath house with round holes near my cresent hole tro house. This week those nasty starlings paid a visit to the Heath. house and would not go away. Thue house is on a 15 foot pole and stationary. The trio lowers nicely on its pole. Fed. up with the starlings and concerned over the single pair of martins in the Heath house...I decided to lowere the house to about 8 feet. The marlins at that house disappeared for a day but they are back today and seem to accept the new lower height. It is my wish that they would move to the Trio with starling proof holes but at least it is easier to trap the starlings and manage the house at the lower height.
