Charlie,
I am copying a post I recently made in another thread a few weeks ago. It contains a link with more information and dimensions. My nestboxes were made for lone star goliad houses.
Hi Davis, and welcome to the forum. You will get a lot of good information here. Always weigh it with your own observations and needs. Here is a link to a post I made in 2006 with dimensions for a foam nest tray. The only change I have made is to build them the same height (called "deep" in the old post) all the way around. Two and a half inches, or three, will work fine.

Creating these becomes a simple and fast project. Take your whole sheet (4'x8x) and cut in half. Then quarter the halves into pieces and start reducing these pieces to 11 7/8 by 5 7/8. Those pieces will be your bottom, and then by cutting off 2 1/2 inches from the length of each you get your sides. Leave the front and back at 5 7/8, and cut another inch or so off of these to get your sides. Build a pile of floors, front/backs, and sides. Get out your glue gun and start assembling.
Wishing you a lot of luck this year. Please message if I can help you.

I made some home made styrofoam trays for my Martin home to act as a bottom floor cover but I noticed that the birds were pecking at it. I worried it might hurt them so I wound up using some duct tape to cover the trays. So far good.Charlie Rogers wrote:Thanks a lot John, appreciate all the ideas.
