Wow, that is unbelievable. Do you think you could post a few more pictures of the trap. I have wanted to build one of these for a while now.
Congrats on your great captures.

That is amazing! Good job!
Just think how many nesting cavities you have made available, by eliminating so many competitors.

Lynn,
Holy cow! Way to go. Wipe um out. Keep your eyes open for those first PM scouts. I would almost bet you will see them yet this week. Post them on the scout report as soon as you see one, because as soon as you do I am going to start playing the dawnsong. They seem to really be pushing north.
Have a great year.
Dave

That is very impressive. I wish I had one of that type trap. Last week there
hundreds of them in my front yard. I'd like to try and build one like you have.
I have plenty of tubing, and a welder so I will try one of these days. Did you build yours by a set of plans? I love seeing people trying to eradicate them.
keep up the good work, as I'm sure the martins appreciate it.

the plans for the Troyer V-trap is available in the PMCA shop. the record trapping day is 204, snow cover and baiting the trap with dog food and fresh water on a cold day can really increase the number of birds you trap. I have used the trap for 10 years now and trap well over 1000 a year. Dave, I hope the martins hold off alittle before they arrive at least a week till weather is warmer.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. The less Starlings the better.
They are a real menace. Since we got rid of our HUGE OLD Oak
tree 2012, I have only see a few Starlings.
House sparrows( spatsie), I have caught 6 so far in my trap.
Thanks for the awesome photo.
