My first takers are still with me, and if I am not mistaken I think that another Mr. and Mrs. are moving into the back side of the motel. Today has not been a nice weather day, lots of rain and very cloudy so its difficult to really tell if the newcomers are on board or not. Strange enough that I have two nice houses in corner of front yard and no takers. Interest is in the house in back yard and it was originally located in my son's backyard south of Weatherford, Tx. That has been two years or longer, surely by this time they are not finding evidence of other martins. The house was washed out really good before putting in garage for storage through winter. Whatever the reasoning I am pleased. I have tried many gimics , if this one works, I will be thankful and enjoy.

YAY! Maybe your bird prefer "used" over "new"! Whatever works is perfect, right! Best Wishes!

Happy for you, Delma. I hope you get a house full. I wish you would send me some of that rain.

A dirty old starling took over the house in the back yard that I had given over to the blue birds. A friend was emptying the BB gun to replace with pellets and took aim. He hit the starling with the bb and he fell to the ground immediately. Of course it was only a few feet, but now know a starling can be killed with a bb. He threw the critter up on the house thinking maybe his friends would leave when they saw he had met foul play.
Of course he will have to come down soon for last rites. Believe me, will be no mourning. By the way my Mr. and Mrs. is still here and still think they have neighbor friends on back side of motel.
