I agree Phil 110% I would have been in panic if they came last week and all these sub freezing nights behind them :(

One tip to pass on - use up to twice the cable needed on your brake winch. You reduce the number of cranks to raise/lower the rack when there is a greater volume of cable on the winch. Reason - the larger diameter wraps more cable per crank on the winch than a small diameter of wound cable . Reducing from 60 cranks to 30 can make a real difference when raising and lowering the rack.
Thanks Don! I have done that with my Ham Radio tower winch. definitely a good idea to apply it here.

Finally saw a pair just landed late this afternoon. Here's a bad picture taken through the spotting scope with a phone. This is the adult male investigating the older house and the female is with him to his left hidden behind the house. By the time I got the big camera, they were gone.

So far I counted 10, with 4 females and 6 males.

They seem to prefer the old plastic house..so far.

Green leaves. Sign that they're about to lay eggs?
