Erie PA martin roost is swarming with martins

In the Erie area? Come see Purple Martins by the thousands roosting among two cattail islands by Presque Isle State Park. The martins begin arriving around dusk and can be viewed from the Vista 1 parking lot on Presque Isle State Park.

- Martin Colony History: The 1972 St. Agnes flood wiped out all the Martins in my area. One day, in 1997-98, 5 or 6 Martins landed on the power wires crossing my back yard. I had no house for them. They kept coming back day after day. We got a martin house a few weeks later & they have been coming back every year since. I average 12-15 pair per year.
Boy would I love to see this. One day I hope. If I ever get past all these health issues.
It's so dry here even the darn sparrows have mostly left. News said we are down about 6 inches of rain! All we see is a few Humminging birds, 1 Male Cardinal, an occassional sparrow/crow/dove. That's it.
A video/sound would be great...hint, hint
