I've been away FAR too long! I miss everybody...I moved from Chicago to Florida. Bought a little house on a spring fed 10 acre pond. We are clearing the pond now of over growth, then putting up a gourd rack off our pier.
Shout out to Louise & John! How is everyone? So good to see families names.

- Martin Colony History: Active colony of purple martins at this location since 2002.
We have 2 Trio converted Castles + one 8 compartment gourd rack and one 12 compartment gourd rack. 2025 summary: Best year ever! Fledged 100+ purple martins with zero sparrows at colony site this year!
Sara, glad to see you on the forum!....Fond memories of you and fam in Antioch....You came out to our house in Spring Grove (IL/ WI border) to check out our possibilities of attracting pm's....Sure enough, you were right! Eventually we hosted our first pair in 02, then not again till 06...after that never looked back! Our first two ASY's arrived on Saturday....Let the fun begin!

Dave! Yup... SMRT... I had enough of the cold, Florida life for me now. I see and hear Martins all around down here. There is a colony a few houses away from my parents in Cape Coral. I'm going to enlighten my neighborhood once I get my colony going. Look out Lutz!
