Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!

Good morning! Yesterday evening it started to rain and when I looked at radar it was going to last about 4 hours so. The martins have been going through the eggshells. I had some dried meal worms for the chickens! I put some in my B&B and they came and looked last night but today they are eating some! This is just to train them for next spring! It’s a start anyway! :)
Try it they may just take right to it! I spend a lot of time outside and when I go to the B.B. they sit and watch what I’m doing. As soon as I leave they have to come down for a look! It was strange last night but they took a few this morning!
This will sure help next spring when it’s cold! Good luck :)

That's great! I wish my birds would use the platform feeder. Flipping crickets is giving me an aching back and a blistered thumb.
