I finally breathed a sigh of relief as the last baby fledged a few days ago. I didn't have to worry about watching the hawks nabbing them off of the gourd racks. Well, the last 3 days have been cool, rainy, and windy. Today is no exception. Some babies and a few parents have been returning to the gourds day and night. Today was the most I have seen return. I figure the babies probably haven't had much to eat, and I have been really concerned about them starving. I found one on the ground today, and brought him in. I am feeding him crickets dipped in propel water. Only one at a time, and then I let him sit for 45 minutes to an hour. Hopefully I will not over work his digestive system. Tomorrow is suppose to bring better weather. I hope it isn't too late.

Thank you. Yesterday I drove him 2 hours to a rehabber so he would have a chance to live. He is pretty thin, but was gaining strength.
