I suppose this is a natural thing ...I have one pair male / female ASY who have stayed with me two nights and protect the six gourds though they only stay in one. This morning another male ASY dropped in and the other male would not allow him to check the other 5 gourds out. I suppose there is nothing to do but let the process work its self out. By the way I have a T14 nest about 30 feet away empty & two compartments open.

Eventually he will lose out and just nose his way in. Its so much fun to watch! Had a pair defend two gourds, for a long time I thought both occupied. Then kept seeing female and male defend one gourd from intruders, then after it calms down either he or she would jump to the gourd they wanted to be in that night. Eventually it was taken over but took forever.
