MARTINFEST 2005
Thank You So Much
On June 17, 18 .. Folks from the U.S.and Canada gathered together at the Victor Stoll Colony Sight . The largest Purple Martin Colony of 700 nesting pair in America..
This is the 8th year that this event has been held,, and the 3rd year that it has grown to an annual 2 day event.. Friday, June 17th was Vendors day , and Saturday, June 18th was the main event..
Although we ( the Stoll family at Finger TN.) are hosting Martinfest each year., it is you folks that come., some from many miles,, that contributes greatly to Martinfest and its success, It includes local folks and the Vendors and the Martinfest Committee., We are all together to meet old friends and make new friends.. To chat and get excited about our lovely Purple Martins...
We want to say a great big THANK YOU to each one of you for your fellowship and cooperative spirit... God Bless You.. The Stoll Family..

I hope that someday I can make it there but it is hard to take off from work in the summer when one works for an excavating company.
PMCA member and Martin fanatic....
2011 A pair of subbies fledged three young but none returned in 2012
2015 One Pair of subbies came and stayed a few nits but got chased away by Bluebirds and Tree swallows.
2017 0ne pair of subbies nested and fledged 4 young
2018 Tree Swallows AGAIN chased away any martins that wanted to nest
2019 Same old story................

Thank you very much to you and your family for hosting such a wonderful event. This year was my first time at Martinfest and I enjoyed every minute of it. It is a great opportunity for people from all across this North America to meet and share their love for this incredible bird. The time an effort that your family puts in to make this event possible is amazing and greatly appreciated by all who attend.
Thank you again for your gift to the Martin community and all that you do for Purple Martins.
Sincerely
James Mejeur
