I got an e-mail about this today and thought those of you that like to mist your housing in the heat of the summer might be interested. -- JohnP

John/Linda, this product is very similar to the Sidewinder (Arizona Mist) product that we have used for a number of years. It is nicely priced, and if landlords are interested in misting, I would suggest ordering a few of these.
Paul and I ordered a few Sidewinders when we first discovered them. We actually have used them for ourselves, and some patio applications.......
Inexpensive and effective! Can't beat that.
Thanks for sharing the link.
**If misting martin housing, please remember to purge your hose/water supply of hot water before turning on the mister*.

- Martin Colony History: 5th year hostess. Currently 58 confirmed breeding pair. 218 Fledged, 35 older nestlings, 2 new nests with 8 nestlings. 100% occupancy
Afternoon everyone,
This years hot hot temps made a believer out of me with misting. I don't believe my last two nests would have fledged without it. They were in SK BO 9's and were much hotter than my natural gourds. With misting, we were able to avoid ice packs and mom and dad enjoyed the water while sitting on the porch waiting to feed bugs.
Happy Sunday,
Debbie
