This morning I have two ASY males here and they seem right at home. I doubt they realize how much effort was put in for this occasion but it's always worth it. Jeff, and also Kathy, it's interesting that just like last year, mine showed up the next day after yours. Of course I'm very excited. A beautiful day here in southern Mo.

Yay, congratulations, Keith! I think your
birds are always a day later, because they have the worst hangover after hanging out down south with mine and Jeff's birds.
I still have just the one this morning, but we're headed to 78 degrees, so more will likely arrive today!
I look forward to meeting you and your wife tomorrow evening! Don't forget!
Jeff has bailed out - he *claims* it's because of work...I told hm to play hooky!

- Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.
Very good! Congrats as your year is now official.

Congrats Keith!
I had 2 females tucked in Sunday evening, and then I had to leave the area early Monday morning. I returned this evening in the midst of some nasty weather which I figured might have created some hungry martins. After flipping about 30 crickets to a couple snapping beaks, I settled on the fact that I only had those two - a male and female that came out of the same hole. I guess the second female from Sunday night made a nice Monday for a northern MO landlord!
I'm definitely looking forward to an extended period of better weather and southerly winds.
