looked out front door about 5;30 with light rain and had a male setting on bamboo rod in front of open compartment on trio in front yard;walked out on front porch with my binoc's too comfirm;watched it for about 20 minutes until it flew then walked too back door too look at trio in back yard and I had 3[2male and 1 female]setting in front of #1 compartment trio I have open and watched them for about 20 minutes till they flew;;I only have the 2 trio [one in front yard and 1 in back yard open and raised with the 5 enlarged compartments open in each with I bo11p gourd open under each house;;wondering if I need too raise more houses and gourds and open??????my 4 trio are the oldest houses so they fill up first;;don't have other 2 raised or open;going too try and see if they come back for the night;;jr2

- Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!
