Yes, but will the same hawk continue to strike at the same plastic bird or will it learn real quick to by pass it on it's next hunt?

Problem is my trio is the 12 sided castle and a fence must be easy to raise for nest checks.......guess we have a lay awake engineering project

Question about decoys.....how long do they work....when a hawk hits them don't they quickly figure out to go for the moving stuff?? I am thinking of mounting them on springs so they'll wobble? any thoughts on how long they are useful?

it won't spook them near as much as a critter crawling up that pole and reaching in doing that grabby feely thing.....put it on!.......my great horned owl has been seen on the houses but I havn't seen the feather piles since I put the owl guards on......and those owl guards sure slowed them down mor...

having studied the reviews by game farm users I'm not ready to buy the night guards....seems they were more effective on migrating hawks. You can google that info....I do think the music has some merit in confusing the hearing of the owl as those rascal martins don't just go to bed and go to sleep.....

Well, Emil....two healthy blisters later from cutting fencing with 2" by 4" weave. They all flew and watched yelling at me because it took quite a while....now they are just sitting on top looking....hope they figure out how to pass through it and sit tight when dark vader comes!

the last three nights I watched an owl come and take up a perch near duskso I promply went out and made a fool of my self running, clapping, making crazy scare an owl sounds and ran it off. Last night I sat out till my none owl eyes could see anymore and went in....he came back last night too. left ...
