WE GOT OUR SUBBIES THE SAME DAY AS LAST YEAR. A MIX OF 25 MALES AND FEMALES SO FAR...HOPEFULLY WE'LL GET MORE....

I FINALLY GOT TO DO THE MARTIN HAPPY DANCE TODAY...AROUND NOON TWO MALE MARTINS AND ONE FEMALE LET ME KNOW THEY WERE HOME....BOY DID THEY PUT ON A SHOW , SHOWING ME THEY WERE HOME....THEY CAME IN AT DUSK FOR THE NIGHT.....

these doves are also called ring neck doves....we raise them ourselves in a flight pen.... they are very good birds to raise....we raise them for pets not food,there a lot them seen in the wild along the upper texas coast.

DOES ANYONE THAT LIVES NEAR SAM RAYBURN LAKE IN EAST TEXAS HAVE ANY SUBBIES YET? WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY NEW BIRDS IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS. STILL HAVEN'T SEEN ANY SUBBIES.THANKS

our red house finches like to nest in some of our bluebird houses. they get along well with the blue birds. maybe you build them a house and they would leave your martin houses alone.

WE HAVE ALOT OF LITTLE RED BUGS CRAWLING AT OUR HOUSE TOO. MY HUSBAND SAID THEY ARE TINY RED SPIDERS. THEY DO BITE AS I HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY A FEW.THEY LEAVE A LITTLE BITE BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE POISON. THE BITES REALLY DO ITCH ALOT.WE HAVEN'T SEEN THEM HERE BEFORE.
