Had 3 pairs everyone had 5 and 6 babies everyone is flying and doing great. It seems though that the parents are gone and the little ones were hanging out, is that what happens...this morning all are gone have not saw any. I had one adult I call her little miss who talked and flew above me every time I came outside...now I don't hear or see her anymore....hope to see her next year...
No one is coming to house it seems at all just hanging out in trees and power lines everyday,.. now I don't see any..should I clean my box up and put it away or now what??? Thank you all for your great support it looks like I finally after 4 years am a martin landlord...

Way to go on your successful year.
After my first nest fledged, I would not see them at all during the day. Every evening at dusk they come back to sleep in the gourd they were raised in. Just watch as the sun goes down and see if they might be coming back to sleep.
I would wait a couple of weeks before you take the house down. Others could be coming by to check out possible sites for next year.

Hey Kentucky Landlord !! Congratulations!
I'd keep an eye on your housing just as you have all season. The absolute best thing you can do for your colony is just keep an eye on things and stay interested in the martin housing you put up. So many folks start out with good intentions and lose interest. As with any hobby, the more you put into it ( time ) the more you will get out of it.
I keep my housing up until around September... when I know that all martins are gone. You never know about the northern martins that may want a familiar place to perch on their journey south. The main thing about martin housing is to NOT leave it up, or at least plug the entrance holes to keep other birds out over the winter and early Spring.
What part of KY are you located?
