I have a multipurpose pole with two modified Trio houses and 4 gourds below. After comparing increased cavity size and the relative ease of nest changes with the gourds over the aluminum houses, I want to convert to all gourds and work this out before next spring.
Has anyone converted one of these poles from houses to gourds with a bracket or spindle or something that attaches where the houses attach? If so, how? I would rather not just junk the bracket and start from scratch.
Thanks in advance,
Ed

- Martin Colony History: 24 Super and Excluder Gourds on two gourd racks, all SREH. Full occupancy. My philosophy is to maximize fledge % with existing cavities rather than adding gourds to grow colony, thus providing opportunities for new colony expansion. Fledge over 100 nestlings yearly from 24 gourds. Band nestlings in cooperation with state university. 2019 Adendum: Reduced colony size to 12 gourds to focus on more intensive management regimen.

Thanks,
Has anyone come up with a homemade way to attach a multi gourd bracket to the mounting plates on the multi purpose pole. I have already made quite an investment over the years. I am trying to keep costs manageable.
