Yippee they are in for the night!
We changed to all gourds over the winter. We bought Big Bo 11 plus gourds with clinger entrances. We first saw a pair of martins about a week ago and had sporadic visits. We were worried that they weren't going to accept the new system...but today OUR pair stayed all morning, going in and out of the gourds with ease and tonight they are sleeping here. This "hobby" is such a joy!

Great, Owen. I have started over several times over the years, and the first couple of years with one or two pair is so magical.
I still sit outside each evening when the weather permits, and watch my friends come home, but the anticipation of whether or not your one pair survived the day each evening is not something I experience with a lot of martins after a few years.
