Last 3 young taken to Rehab - Season over

Lost around 25 young PM's due to triple digit heat (29 days since around June 18.) Nearest Re-hab was around 50 miles from my home but could not handle the care needed to save these last three PM's. One died on the way but believe the last 2 can be saved. Worst year for us since the early 80's when lost 85 young ones due to a black fly infestation. We manged to fledge around 150 in which many left the nest just after double digits hit. I am sure many landlords especially in Oklahoma and Texas and elsewhere in the South also had a rough time and I feel your pain that so many birds and animals of all kinds have died due to this drought and many days of double digit heat. I hope all are praying that this drought will end soon. So many ranchers have had to sell all of their livestock that it took 30 years to build. So far, there is no end in sight. I am also concerned for the food supply in South Texas. I pray we never see another summer like this again!

Double Digit temperatures?? I wish we had double digits here....unfortunately it's been TRIPLE digits here...
