WHERE ARE THEY ALL GOING
WHERE ARE ALL THE MARTINS GOING.. IT SEEMS THE MIGRATION IN MY AREA HAS STOPPED. WE HAVE HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF BIRDS THAT WE HAVE HAD FOR THREE WEEKS NOW.A FRIEND OF OURS THAT LIVES A FEW MILES AWAY IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM... HE USUALLY HAS TWICE THE BIRDS HE HAS BY NOW. ANY ONE ELSE IN OUR AREA HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS?
They ain't at my house!
The wife was telling me earlier today that a guy she works with told her thursday that he hasn't seen a single bird this year. He has an established colony of over 50 pair. He was asking her if I had seen any. I have been looking at other established colonys in town and haven't seen birds there ether.
You got me.

I live really close (15-20 miles north) to Gobbler T and some established sites here are covered up and some established sites have none. Go figure.
I even thought I saw a sub adult male this evening on my setup. However being new to the game I am not going to report. Maybe I will get to shoot(camera) some tomorrow and will post pics for board to help me identify.
