It may just be that I've made more time to listen but the last two seasons I have noticed the repeated squak made by the male when he is trying to get his young to leave the nest. Am I nuts?

Three juVeniles
just fledged here and the adult birds were especially noisy calling them out in the days leading up to first flight.

Hear it all the time here when they start fledging. They just screaming at them to get out of the nest.

One in particular kept it up for hours. It is almost as grating as a male Hosp, guess some are louder than others!
