still nothing here. I have finally gotten the hoards of sparrows back in check. Now when I go outside, I don't hear or see one anywhere. Working on getting a coats castle put up, graciously given to me by Mr James Strickland. Martin music still playing. Lots of chimney swifts, but no martins.

Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

Tony you are just so cool. Do you think you can flip a cartwheel as your happy dance when this happens for you? Because I would expect no less.

Boy, I was asking myself why I don't see any PM's till I see your post Gobbler T. I'm amassed and totally respectful of your patience. As they say good things happen to those who wait..

So far I haven't see a thing, no starlings, no sparrows.. It seem like the most of the county is with out PM..

Have couple BB houses and one of them got eggs the other one in nest building process

I live in Florence Ala, in the north/west corner of the state.
I have seen very few martins in this area, they seem to be very
late this season. Most of the landlords in this area either don't
have any martins yet or very few birds.

I have only had one pair the past three years so i am not sure if
my martin's late or died. But i still have hope they will show up.
Good luck to everyone looking to start a colony, or that has a
colony hope you all have a great season.

Hang in their Gobbler T your day is coming... :) :)

I live in Tennessee and when our martins came in we had around 14. We still have about the same amount. I am hoping the rest of ours comes in soon but it seems that every year we are not getting as many as the season before. Hope the best for everyone with their martins!
