The Wisconsin Purple Martin Association will be conducting a 4 hour educational seminar on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 from 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. at-
Maywood – Ellwood H. May Environmental Park in Sheboygan, WI.
Members and affiliates of the Wisconsin Purple Martin Association will share their knowledge and experience on the status of this bird species, and how to attract and maintain a successful Purple Martin Colony. Topics that will be discussed during this half day seminar will include: the selection of a proper martin house, the selection of the correct location, tips to attract martins to your yard, how to deal with non-native birds that are competition to martins, how to supplemental feed your colony during cold weather, and how to perform summer nest checks and maintain quality bird colony records.
