Posts like your's bring a broad smile to those of us choosing to live a "bit further" north. We have about 30" of snow on the ground, it's a balmy 18 degrees and a lovely breeze is keeping the air fresh .

Please keep posting "good martin news", and throw a photo-or-two in for us dreaming of the return of "our" martins.

Congrats on a great start to 2014's colony.

Jim,

Thanks for the encouragement! I would be absolutely ecstatic and probably faint from excitement if my colony jumps to full house! I would be overjoyed if it jumps to half full with 8 pairs as yours did second year! :)

I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful season!

Hey Tlragsdale, thanks for your response it brought a smile to my wife and I when we read it. We know we are blessed to live where we do. We have martins and nice weather most of the time.

We hope when spring comes that lots of martins find your place! Jim
