Martin Colony History: Colony started - 2007 with one pair
As of 2018 - 84 cavities offered, max # of pairs hosted - 82.

As the topic is starting to appear more & more in the forum, I thought now would be a good time to re-share this article that I wrote last year for the PMCA Update magazine.

Kathy thanks for the info. It can't be repeated too often. I have absolutely no qualms in killing any HOSP I can. I have seen too many times the damage to native songbird populations these pests can inflict.

Martin Colony History: In 2024, 82 pair with 350 fledged youngsters. 110 total cavities available, 82 Troyer Horizontal gourds and a homemade PVC / metal 28 compartment unit, 1 fallout shelter. Thank you for posting this topic again. This is a great refresher for everyone on the need to rid sparrows and starlings whenever possible.

Thanks Kathy for posting this- Hopefully it will save Martin (and other native's) lives and save People from unneeded Heartache. I am a "believer"!!!
