I have a pair of House Finches trying to take a cavity. Does anyone know if they are territorial, do I need to be concerned?

I have them on my rack. Never had them try to nest. Others have had them nest with martins and said they are not territorial.

I was told on here last year not too let them nest in your martin houses;;I caught 4 in my spar-a-door traps last year and released them;;jr2
