Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

That's how I feel! Mine are at 58 babies and 11 more eggs to go. I enjoyed your pictures. As many babies as I see I always enjoy seeing more!

Those are some awesome pictures. The nests and babies look so clean and neat. Don't think I've seen such clear, closer-up pictures before. Thanks for bringing your martins to all of us on the forum.

I love these pics! My goodness, how much the babies grow and change in just a few days! I didn't see any mites on your glove, either! Wonderful!

Mike,

It's good to see someone else is local as a landlord.

Great pictures.

I love the little "pinkies".

I have a bunch of kids from the neighborhood who are following my Martin progress.

37 hatchlings so far here. Hoping they all fledge.
