First time I've posted in a few years. Everything had been going well. Starlings have never been a problem.
However, this year almost every starling seems to enter the T-14 units at will! I raised the porches to level. Seems to have made no difference.
I will trap starlings aggressively!! I wonder if we are breeding smaller starlings
Starlings Smaller?

I think that this early in the season, that the starlings are smaller, poorer, and sometimes can get in. Later in the season, the starlings will get fat and sassy, and will not enter as easily.
My only suggestions is to raise the porch to nearly flush which you said that you already did, check the entrances if they are the correct size, and use a wing entrapment guard which makes it more difficult for the starlings and martins to enter...good luck

Geezer,
I have a T-14 with Conley entrances and had Starling after Starling breech even with raised porches. I switched to the Lewis entrances and my Starling problems were solved immediately. Do a search through the forum archives for Lewis Entrances. I have posted a picture of it before but now for some reason I can't upload it here. Martins have no problems at all with it. The best entrance I have used, better than the excluder II in my opinion. An easy conversion from Conley IIs.
Best of Luck.
