Hi,
First year trying to attract PM's, I am keeping up with the HOSP, Starlings, and Swallows but now the finches have tried moving in my SK Martin House. I have been cleaning out the nest material daily. Any other suggestions?'

My site is new and does not yet have Martins.

I have finches and not one has showed any interest in my gourd rack.

My problem has been HOSP and starlings (younger ones-I have all Conly 2 entrances).

You can try and trap them or keep removing the nest. They will give up and move on after a while. The HOSP all did at my site.

What type of nest are they building? Is it all grasses and such? Or is it twigs with grasses in the nest bowl?

Good question Tim ! I was wondering, Maybe MY Finches are afraid of PMs or Of HOSP destroying their nest, but, the Finches here Have never tried to build nest in my housing . (?) But , They SURE Love my Humming Bird nectar in the H. Bird feeder Flower Cups !
