I built a V-trap to catch starlings here in Alberta Can. and I need some advice on how to attract these birds and get it working...It's 4' x 8' x 6' high with a walk-in door...any help would be appreciated...
Thanks.

Since V-traps are a bait trap, they are used mostly in winter months, when starlings will congregate in groups and you can catch oodles of them quickly - that's not going to happen during the nesting season.
Popcorn makes a good bait, and the trap works better when the ground is snow-covered. Requires frequent monitoring to release native birds.
