I've been pestering our local PARD to erect a few Purple Martin houses along the walking trail in Creekside Park behind my house for a few years and my dream has come true. Looks like my Purple Martin colony is getting some new neighbors thanks to Chris and his father Byron. As part of his Eagle scout troop project they worked with the PARD and were able to get approval to erect a beautiful T-14 Purple Martin house with crank up pole system including predator guards. The PARD directed them to come talk with me as a consultant on purple martins. I was flattered to say the least. I was able to advise and provide Chris with a good start, 2 sections of the T-14 housing I just happen to have and not using and a complete set of T-14 plans to construct one from start to finish. Chris's efforts were exceptional, one of the best houses around. Good job Chris!
Creekside park will definitely have the largest Purple Martin colony's in hutto next year. Goto the PMCA facebook page to see the pictures.

Congrats! I saw the pictures on the PMCA Facebook and it looks beautiful. Awesome job! Thanks to all involved. Public sites are crucial to connect future landlords to Martin's.
