Need a step by step on posting pics!

I've tried to post a pic without photo bucket and when I add it to file nothing shows up. Please give us a step by step instruction. FAQ says I can't load a pic from a computer. Just wondering! Thanks

Never mind that - it will work, you can load photos from computer
Click attachments
Click add files
Click on file that you want to load, from your desktop
Submit - that will do it.

loaded this next photo by going into pictures/iphoto, but same procedure. Since it's a larger file, it posts as a link, instead of showing up directly in the post

dang, I am sorry, Sharon - there may be some issues with ipads. I have not tested from an ipad yet but will try that too.

When I add a photo to the file, my attachments is still empty. The image seems like it loads in the attachments but won't show up. It's me I'm sure. Just takes me a while to push the right button

I had trouble at first too - it will say attachment not downloaded or something, but it was still there. will ask wiz Tara for more help.

I may have to use my digital camera and use the desktop when wanting to post a pic.
Never transferred pics to the desktop from my iPad. May or may not be able to do that. Oh boy this tech stuff!!!! My sons an IT at a college and he sure didn't get it from me!!

Hi Sharon,
When you learn how to post pictures from an I-Pad, please let me know. I've only had this I-Pad for a year and I'm really learning as I go. We have a computer but I rarely use it because it's uncomfortable. I sit at the kitchen bar which has more light from the kitchen and the breakfast nook, and it is a lot more comfortable.

So Tara will we ever be able to put our photos on here from an iPad?
I do not know what to do after the picture is loaded in attachments. I took a picture yesterday and it loaded but when I went to photo library it is not in there. So it is somewhere???
So how did you do this from an iPod? I thought that was for music??

Did you click on the link in her post? It shows a photo, and she posted it from an ipod, some of them do more than music. they will test with ipad if someone remembers to bring one in from home.
The procedure for adding an image is the same every time, no matter whether you are using an ipad or a desktop, laptop, or phone.

To add an image, click:
1) attachments
2) then click add files
3) then selecting image, clicking OPEN
4) then click submit

Sorry for the confusion, that was done with an iPod touch, which is like a small tablet; you can play music, videos, go on the internet and download applications. I did a test through that in case it had something to do with the Apple iOS. We don't have an iPad here in the office, we should be able to try tomorrow on an iPad and see if it allows us to post a photo. There should be no reason why you can't post photos using an iPad, we just need to figure out why it's not working

In the meantime, when you go to add an attachment and you click on the "add files", select your image, and click "open" do you see a green bar on the Attachments tab? The green bar will show the progress as your image is being loaded into the system. Depending on how large your image is, it may be very quick.

After you've added your image, try to preview your post. If you don't see the photo showing up in the post look down below underneath the "Save Draft, Preview, Submit" buttons. Your image, if it was attached, should show up with the filename, a section to put a comment underneath the image and should have a green checkmark under status.

If you can do another test and tell me if you see the green progress bar when your image is being loaded, and if you can preview the post and see the image information underneath that might help figure out the issue. Gotta love technology!

You mentioned the photo library, can you no longer find the image on your iPad? Adding files to a forum post (whether they end up added or not!) won't delete the image from your device so it should still be somewhere on your iPad.

click attachments, click add files, select photo, click DONE and it will load - then click submit.

Nothing comes up after I click done. The green lines loads and I see nothing. I did find my photo I have been loading in iBooks. Is there something I need to do to make it smaller? It is set to normal.

When I click on add files it says Take photo, photo library, iCloud. I have tried all three. When I took the photo to load it is no where to be found.

I really appreciate what you guys are trying to do. I am just done! I see nothing down there to click on when the green line gets done loading. There's probably something not right with my iPad. I will have my son check it out. I do appreciate what you have done.
