Momma from 2014 & 2015 is home and Poppa is happy! They are in the same gourd they used for the past two years. He was here first and today she arrived. They fly right in like two pros! Have a good week everyone! :grin:

Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!

That's wonderful Jose! I know your wife is so relieved that you are not pacing anymore!!!!! :lol: I'm looking out my shop window a lot more. :roll: April 1 has been the day for my first siting so I have a while. Good luck! :)

Good deal glad the family is back together good luck Jose.and I have a feeling that you will be seeing some martins in the next couple of weeks Sharon they seem early arriving up here ,hoping I see some soon or I will go crazy lol,

Martin Colony History: Have been hosting and providing a sanactuary for Purple Martins for 30 years.

Way to go Jose.! Are those your 1st ones this year? That's neat that they go into the same gourd every year. Just finished hanging the rest of my gourds today. Will start playing "Dawn Song" tomorrow. March 1st is the earliest I've ever seen a scout here in North Carolina. Been keeping records for 26 years. Ya never know about the arrivals of Purple Martins.

taxi-lady, APRIL FIRST? I don't think I could wait that long each year to see my "friends". Maybe you need to move further SOUTH. :)

Roger, they are my first pair back! Hope to see the other pairs and new Martins soon! I'm a believer in the Dawn Song also!
