This is what we need to do for our martins! Spread the knowledge everywhere! My site will be seen by all now! Everyone that drives down Roots rd. will see my setup next spring! They will wonder what the heck is those for! They will talk about it to others and soon my whole community will know I take care of my martins! I just didn’t throw up a house and let any dang bird nest in it! Everyone will know about my martins now! What joy this brings me to spread my knowledge to one and all! I am one happy landlord! Thank you all for my knowledge! I will do my best to give them what they need!

Too true, seems like they are beset on all sides by predators and habitat encroachment; makes those landlords who care all the more important. Spread the word Sharon, the birds will benefit, and so will they.

I will do my best! I’ll let the martins do the talking! They’ll hear them and wonder why I have them and they don’t!

Exciting Sharon, With your knowledge and enthusiasm here's hoping you can create some new landlords. The martins really need them!
Have great holiday season and remember not that many months your birds will be back with more!

Oh Sharon...I so hope they DO come back!!!!
Those birdies are Sooooo weird!
I've been trying for 30 years to get a great big colony and it has NEVER happened! I've had a pair or two one year, then none the next, then a pair, then none on and off since 1987 when I put up my first house in Deer Park (near Houston), TX.
I'm in Florida now and last year was my first year but I only had a few visiting birds, none liked it enough to make a nest.
I'm back at it again this year, getting the house ready now so that I can be up and running early enough to see if i can attract new comers...
GOOD LUCK to you and me both!!!!
Keep teaching! I know I do!!!
