I'm fired up! Begun installing a gourd rack at a local middle school to incorporate with their 4-H club. This weekend we'll be installing a gourd rack at an elementary school. Working with science teachers at each school and mentoring them to be landlords.
I'll be presenting to the 4-H club on the 26th and introducing 7th and 8th graders to martins. Wish me luck!

Thanks. I hope so. I'm not use to working with middle schoolers. The elementary age is more up my ally so I hope the older ones show some interest!

My focus this year it to mentor and educate...I am expanding the park site by two gourd racks and am going to put up an informational sign which I have not had the past two years. Educating also includes submitting articles to local newspaper/audubon society.... which both printed my articles last year. The possibilities are absolutely endless. Funding can be an issue and I've been lucky to have four racks donated to me and another three purchased at a deep discount. I may look into grant funding next year.Kyler wrote:Krista,

Yes I actually do. I have the normal Purple Martin Sign from the PMCA. I have it in closed with plywood and glass. It looks really nice.
