One of my gourds that had an ASY pair had eggs. I use the Troyer vertical gourds with Connley II entrance. Parents weree on eggs 2 days ago. Yesterday we had terrible rain. I did not see parents tonight, do I checked nest and no eggs. The nest was very wet, but not disturbed. No eggs around the housing. 5 other nests on this rack are feeding babies and one just finished making a nest.
Not sure what happened. Other houding not missing eggd or babies.

DO YOU HAVE SY-MALES AT YOUR COLONY ? I WITNESSED A SY-MALE DISPOSE OF 3 EGG'S IN SHORT ORDER FROM A ASY NEST ! BAD ENOUGH WE HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR OTHER PREDATOR'S AND 1 OF THEIR OWN CAN DO JUST AS MUCH DAMAGE AT TIMES!

- Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!
This isi hard to say if they are completely gone and you didn’t witness the crime! Good luck!

Just did my nest check and I have 3 nests that had eggs gone. I also had a best 3weeks ago with displaced eggs spread about that I replaced in nest and were displaced again a week later I removed them and there is a new batch off eggs. Seems the SY’s are being a problem this year. Didn’t have this issue last year!
