Sitting outback enjoying the cool 64 degree gorgeous morning when I heard that wonderful, familiar sound!!
Two male martins overhead!!
One has come back several times and poked around the gourds. A few minutes ago he chased a hawk away!
Flying overhead as I type this!!
My season has begun!
Best wishes to all

James .. it’s great to hear from you.. I just have been wondering how it has been going at your new home and site..
Sounds like you are working on your set up and I hope you will be successful this year.. It won’t be long now.. Keep us up to date how it is going..
Hi Dave, I have been working on what Martins like here. They are a little different in the way they act and the type of housing they like. I put up a round which is a half Gemini and the Martins love that rack better than the other and so I am put up a Gemini Rack. I had a lot of visitors and a pair nested and fledged 4 young. I think this will be a good year here as long as the weather will be normal, but the future forecast is cooler and wetter in the spring. We will see. Good luck on your site and may you be full this year.
