Hello All
Its better than the first picture I bought from
My cogs are turning. So many possibilities.
Insided flat measurement . 7 1/8 " X 19 "

One though that flew by me was stack them using a slide in home made rack. Shape could be like a T 14 house
Will say this white plastic mail box is deeper and as wide if not wider. Than my new T 14 house
I am excited with ideas. :grin: [ Later

===============================

Hello and a good question.

Subtotal

$10.98

Shipping

$0

Sales Tax

$0.80

Order Total

$11.78
===========================

Now take a T14 house . It has 14 room. Now divide the cost of a T 14 house. And divide it by 14. This will give you the cost of one Martin nest tray home.
For a Pollywood T 14 little less than $ 50 per room. And this doesn't include nest tray cost.

Now compare oranges and apples :lol: [ Later

I seem to remember them being the black metal ones. Unk Bond has the white plastic ones, which might be better for the birds when the weather gets hot. The plastic mailbox would probably be cooler than the metal one, and being white would probably reflect the heat than absorb it. Seems like a good idea at first glance.

Yes, flyin-lowe, that's the one I seem to remember. It is grey, not black like I thought. I'm still thinking the white plastic might be better. I just wonder if painting the inside of the box with dark paint to help keep the interior cooler might help? The sunlight would not be able to penetrate, plus it will give the birds (and hatchlings) some comfort with it being dark. Just a thought......

Hello and sounds good.Look forward to your find.
My plan up date. Just ordered 6 more mail boxes.
Plan to build a box around my square aluminum pole. And use 6" x 8 " Utility shelf angle arms. Fasten a board to the bottom of mail box. Screw 8 inch arm to bottom of mail box. And 6 inch arm to pole box. Will order more mail boxes as needed [ Later

I would put entrance on other end, nest checks would be much easier to count cause they will be I back. First time a predator touches that entrance the door is coming open without a latch of some sort. Just my opinion if I was going to use a mail box. I guess a nest tray would help

Hello
Thinking of using 2 one inch plastic vents. Still thinking maybe 1 1/2 in.
Mounting entrance on the side of mail box Will act like a vent also. Along with the front entrance door of the mail box.
Wondering what size Dale used. [ Later

Hello Tom
Ordered 4 bags of vents. Each bag has 6 plastic vents.

Might add. The mail box pictures. Doesn't show the mail box floor.
The mail box floor. has 6 ribs 3/8 inch high. With the 3/4 inch nest tray resting on top of these 6 ribs.
Should act as a moister barrier.With air circulation. That just might be a plus.
Time will tell. [ Later
