Hi all I went looking for an alternative to supplemental feeding our Martins, I stopped at the local Fleet Farm
and in the Poultry area I found a bag of Boon worms, if you see the pic the Boon worm is much larger and is high
in protein, which is much better come egg laying time, plus it's easier to toss into the air.
thought you might want an alternative.

I had to feed a few days last week and didn't have time on my lunch break to go to my normal cricket supplier. I went to a bait shop down the road and bought a tub of bee moths (bee larvae). They ate them just as good as they ate crickets. In the future I will feed them if I need to feed as I didn't have to worry about freezing them first to get them to stop jumping around. Plus they were cheaper than the crickets.
