- Martin Colony History: 2005-2019. Lots lookers, 2 successful nesting's.
2010-1 pair nested, 4 eggs destroyed(Wren).
2012- 1 pair nested, 4 eggs, 4 fledged
2019- 1 pair nested, 4 eggs, 4 fledged.
2021- 10 pair, 40 babies fledged.
2022- 17 pair, 10 eggs not hatched= appxy. 57 fledged.
Does Anyone have T.S. yet??

I have been surprised I haven't seen any yet. Given the warm spring we had. I typically have some show up late February early March but haven't seen one yet this year.

I had a lot of tree swallows until this last cold snap that we have had here in East Tennessee. Lots of singing and going on out of the housing that I have up for them and now nothing

... I have not seen any Tree Swallows yet in my area here in the Southeastern Ohio Valley. So I don't expect any Martins for a few more weeks.. My Tree Swallows always come first and then the Martins... Good Luck this season

Have had visitor every year 2014-24.
Two large trees removed in fall 2024 and moved T-14 to a more open location.
2025- 1 SY pair. Fledged 2.
2026- no pairs. One daily SYM here daily. Named him Riggs!
We spotted our first tree swallow this morning in central PA. I was emptying my next box trap with my fifth starling in the past two weeks, when I noticed him.

2025, 1 SY pair. 2 eggs, 2 fledged!! Other martins visited daily.
Still eliminating starlings and sparrows.

Wow- ours must be really late. I've seen one flyover- that's it. Some folks in Kentucky have reported seeing tree swallows for a couple weeks now, but I guess we're not close enough to a large body of water. I'm curious whether the martins will beat them back here as some have reported.
