Such Beauty and Grace. Thank You Landlords!

My status right is now is I have a young male frequenting my T14. Yesterday while gardening, my husband and I heard a louder sound than that coming from our Songbird Magnet. We looked up and 3 Martins were flying around way up in the sky. The sound was magnified and the way they graced the sky with their beautiful calls and movement was awe inspiring. I couldn’t keep my eyes off them. Thanks to each and every landlord that helps to raise these beautiful birds.

I agree Michelle. The Martins keep me outside and make my gardening and yard work a joy. I have found not everyone sees the beauty and grace of these wonderful birds. I sit out every evening and watch them come into their gourds. I am thankful to be able to house the Martins and care for them. I consider them a gift from the Lord. I pray your colony increase and you fledge many Martins in the future.

My first colony started with an SY male who spent a summer at my place. He never attracted a mate but the next year he showed up to the same cavity as an ASY. Not only did he attract mate right away I ended up with 5 total pair. An ASY male at your place will draw a crowd. Hopefully he returns next spring for you, if so you will be on your way.

Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I am still seeing the Martin flying around but I don’t think this will be the year. The good news is the sparrow population is under control so when they come, I’ll be ready!
