There is a wealth of information on the Purple Martin Conservation Association (PMCA) forum and website.

Here is the PMCA forum http://www.purplemartin.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=2
Use the bottons near the top of the page on that forum:
Martin FAQ button
Archives button
Search button (this searches through old forum posts)
Scout Report button

How to find info on the PMCA website:
- The Download Center on their homepage has great basic info. Click on: http://www.purplemartin.org/
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the home page and use their Search engine. That one searches/returns completely different information than the forum search. http://www.purplemartin.org/
- The Martin Biology section and its subsections Management, Identification, Terminology, Education, etc. have great info: http://www.purplemartin.org/main/mgt.html
- Reprints of many good articles from their Update Magazine can be found here, you'll need acrobat reader to read them: http://www.purplemartin.org/update/Reprints.html
- You can learn a lot about the best available commercial martin housing and supplies by browsing the PMCA Shop: http://www.purplemartin.org/shop/catalog.html

How to find info on websites of private landlords:
You can get to other Purple Martin websites by following the Links tab on the PMCA website -or- just click on: http://www.purplemartin.org/links/Purpl ... Sites.html

Among those websites I highly recommend...
Chuck's Purple Martin Page for everyone
Entrances by Sandy for folks interested in changing entry holes or learning more about SREH and tunnel entries

A website for northerners that is not on the PMCA links list, but should be is Alberta, Canada landlord Bob Buskas' Northern Sky: http://www.wtc.ab.ca/northernskys/

The best book available on Purple Martins is:
Stokes Purple Martin Book. Be aware that it is a bit out of date in terms of management techniques and housing, but is still a very complete and excellent reference with lots of nice photos. You are certain to enjoy it. PMCA sells it and so do most online booksellers: http://shop.purplemartin.org/shopsite/p ... books.html
